Exchange Migration

Exchange Migration takes more than just data replication.

Exchange migration tool will let you migrate:
  • Domains
  • Accounts
  • Folder hierarchy
  • Messages
  • Calendars
  • Tasks, Notes
  • Contacts

Have on mind that...

Fact: 20% of mail servers globally are running Exchange. From them, nearly 20% is the discontinued 5.5 version. Even administrators who took the decision to upgrade have to deal with serious limitations in software compatibility, delayed bug-fixes, new hardware requirements and migration downtime.

  • There are 80% installations of 2000, 18% of 5.5
  • Old Exchange versions suffer from security & stability issues
  • Migration from 5.5 requires intermediate upgrade to 2000
  • Incompatibility of old Exchange with new OS versions and vice versa

How It Works?

An important part of the migration process is thorough planning and consulations. After that, engineer will schedule a remote desktop sharing session with the customer and perform a test migration on a subset of accounts.

  • Requires Windows 2000, 2003 Workstation/Server
  • New IceWarp Server with GroupWare (even in 30 day trial)
  • On-site migration
  • Exchange server should be stopped during migration
  • Takes 1MB per second of Exchange storage, approx. 1000 items per minute
